HV’s Integral Management System has earned the corresponding certification in accordance with international standards OSHAS 18001 and ISO 14001. The authorised entity which has awarded us the certificate is the prestigious DET NORSKE VERITAS (DNV). This new acknowledgement of the quality of our Integral Management System is in addition to those earned in the past, when we obtained certificates in accordance with Quality standards ISO 9001 and BRC.
We have incorporated a health and safety management system for the workplace (SGSST) as part of our strategy for risk management, to adapt to changes in legislation and to protect our staff.
The aim is to promote safe and healthy work environments, by offering a framework which enables our Organisation to coherently identify and control health and safety risks, reduce the likelihood of accidents, support compliance with the law and improve productivity in general.
OHSAS 18001 is internationally renowned evaluation specification for health and safety management systems in the workplace.
In turn, the ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard which establishes how to implement, or rather in our case, how to incorporate, an efficient environmental management system (EMS). It was created to manage the delicate balance between maintaining profitability and reducing the environmental impact.
We have identified the aspects of business which have an impact on the environment, we have set targets for improvement and we have developed a management programme to reach them.
We must all be concerned about the Environment.
At HV we do not forget that we work with the earth’s resources.
